Community rules

Last updated: 28 September 2026

TryToAct lets you create video packs and publish dubs. These rules apply to content visible to other players, as well as to usernames and behaviour on the service.

Respect for others

Do not publish hateful, discriminatory, insulting or threatening content, or content intended to harass a person. Impersonation, scams and spam are also prohibited.

Allowed content

Do not publish sexually explicit content, child exploitation, graphic violence, incitement to violence or other illegal content. A fictional clip may be assessed in context; the fact that it comes from a film does not exempt it from these rules.

Rights over videos, voices and images

To import or publish a video, you must hold the necessary rights or permissions. Also respect the rights of the people whose voice or image appears in your creation. Content available elsewhere on the internet is not automatically free to reuse. See our copyright page.

Moderation and sanctions

Content may be refused before publication, hidden after a check or removed following a report. Depending on how serious or repeated the problem is, the team may limit publishing, change a non-compliant username or suspend access to the account. Automated checks don’t catch every problem; reports remain essential.

Report a problem

Use “Report” on a public dub. For a pack, a rights issue or any other content, write to [email protected] with its link and the reason for the report. The Moderation page explains how publications are handled.
