How does the TryToAct ranking work?
Wondering how to climb the ladder and become a dubbing Legend? Here are the principles behind our ranking system.
How your rank is calculated: an opaque blend
On TryToAct, your rank isn't just about how long you play. Behind the scenes, the game calculates a score from a whole range of factors tied to how involved you are. The exact formula is a closely guarded secret, but the main idea is to reward the most active and creative players.
The ranking rests on three main pillars: contribution (what you create), participation (what you do in game) and consistency (how regularly you show up). In other words, to climb the ranking you need to be active: dubbing, publishing and creating packs.
The 6 ranks
Progress on TryToAct is split into 6 distinct tiers. Each tier requires a certain score, but also a minimum amount of real play time. Here are the ranks, from highest to lowest:
- Legend
The very top of the ranking, reserved for the pillars of the community.
- Star
Major recognition for highly active creators and players.
- Headliner
The tier for regular players who contribute often.
- Actor
You've proven yourself: you know your way around both playing and creating.
- Supporting Role
You're finding your feet and building up experience.
- Extra
Where every new player on TryToAct starts out.
How do you climb to the top?
Since the exact formula is secret, there's no magic recipe or loophole to exploit. That said, here's what raises your score:
• Publishing quality packs that get approved and played by the community.
• Recording and publishing dubs, solo or multiplayer, and getting likes on them.
• Taking an active part in online games with other players.
• Logging in regularly and keeping up a good streak of active days.
Note that a good score alone isn't enough to move up a tier: you also need a minimum amount of engaged play time to unlock each rank.
