Daily quests and coins: how to earn them and what they are for
Three quests a day, coins for every finished game and a wardrobe full of items to unlock: here's everything you need to know to earn coins on TryToAct without spending a cent, and to spend them well.
Coins: TryToAct's currency
On TryToAct, coins are the in-game currency. You can always see them at the top of the screen, next to your profile, and they're for one thing only: customizing your character. No pay-to-win, no score boost: a coin never helps you dub a scene better, it just lets you look better doing it.
Good news: you don't need to get your card out to earn them. The vast majority of coins are earned simply by playing, and daily quests are the fastest way to grab a bonus every day. All you need is to be signed in to your account: that's what keeps your balance and your items from one game to the next.
How do daily quests work?
Every day, TryToAct gives you three quests, shown in the "Daily quests" panel you open from your profile. A badge tells you when new quests are waiting. Each quest has a simple goal, a progress bar and a coin reward.

Each of the three quests has its own difficulty level:
• Easy quest: a small goal you can finish in one game, worth 5 coins.
• Medium quest: a slightly longer goal, worth 7 coins.
• Hard quest: for big play sessions, worth 10 coins.
Finishing all three quests earns you 22 coins a day. Coins are credited automatically as soon as you hit the goal: a small notification pops up and the coin flies into your balance, with no button to click.
When do quests reset?
Quests change every day at midnight UTC. That is 8 p.m. on the US East Coast (7 p.m. in winter) and 1 a.m. in the UK in summer (midnight in winter). The countdown at the top of the panel shows how much time is left. Any quest you haven't finished by then disappears: progress doesn't carry over to the next day.
Does everyone get the same quests?
No. Quests are drawn at random for each player from a list of goals. The draw avoids giving you the same quests as the previous days, and never gives you two quests of the same type on the same day: you won't get "Record 10 lines" and "Record 35 lines" at the same time.
Every possible quest
Here are the goals you can get, sorted by difficulty. The link under each type takes you straight to where you need to play to complete it.

Every way to earn coins
Daily quests are a bonus. Your main source of coins is simply finishing games, solo or with others.
Finish a game
Every game you play through to the end earns coins, and the longer the pack, the bigger the reward:
- Pack with 1 to 3 clips
- coins
- 5
- Pack with 4 to 6 clips
- coins
- 8
- Pack with 7 to 10 clips
- coins
- 10
- Pack with 11 to 15 clips
- coins
- 12
- Pack with 16 clips or more
- coins
- 15
The rates are the same solo and in multiplayer: every player who finishes the game gets their coins.
First game of the day bonus
The first game you finish each day earns 5 extra coins. A good reason to drop by and do at least one scene a day.
Report an inappropriate dub
If you report a dub that breaks the rules and our moderation team takes it down, you get 10 coins as a thank-you. Only reports that lead to an actual decision by the team are rewarded.
Your streak of consecutive days
Play 7 days in a row and you get a free emote of your choice, without spending a single coin. The streak keeps going after that: 14 days, 21 days… every 7-day milestone unlocks another emote. Miss a whole day and the counter resets to zero.
How many coins a day?
A real example: an evening where you finish three 5-clip packs plus your three daily quests earns you 3 × 8 + 5 (first game bonus) + 22 (quests) = 51 coins. That's enough to unlock an emote in a single night.
What are coins for?
All coins are spent in the wardrobe, your character's customization screen. You open it by clicking your coin balance at the top of the screen. Locked items show their price: one click unlocks them, and they're yours forever.

Here's what you can unlock, at current prices:
- Skins
Completely change your character's look: Clown, Chrome, Rainbow, Galaxy, Suit… and the Gilded skin for the most patient.
- coins
- 300 to 1,200
- Emotes
Animations to play during games: Floss, Moneyspread, Money Gun, Six Seven… You can equip up to 8 on your wheel.
- coins
- 40 to 180
- Mics
The mic your character holds: Neon, Retro or Gold.
- coins
- 70 to 180
- Gloves
Black or gold gloves to complete the outfit.
- coins
- 100 to 180
- Expressions
Eyes and mouths that give your character personality, like the Grillz.
- coins
- from 50
- Entrances
A special entrance for your character when you win: Delivery, Superhero, Magic Trick, UFO or Meteor.
- coins
- 150 to 600

Emotes play a special role: besides playing them in game, you can pick one as your victory animation, played on the podium when you win a multiplayer game.
Can you buy coins?
Yes, for anyone who wants to go faster, coin packs start at $2.99 (£2.49 in the UK, €2.99 in Europe) from the "+" button next to your balance. Payment goes through Stripe, a secure payment provider: TryToAct never sees your card details.
But it's never required. Every item in the wardrobe can be unlocked with coins earned by playing, and coins have no value outside the game: they're a virtual currency that can't be exchanged or refunded for real money.
Our tips to earn coins faster
• Open your daily quests when you arrive: knowing you need to finish 3 packs or play with others changes which game you pick.
• Play at least one game a day: the first game bonus and the 7-day streak reward consistency more than marathons.
• Kill two birds with one stone: a multiplayer game on a pack you've never played moves three quests forward at once (play with others, new pack, lines).
• Go for long packs when you have time: a 16-clip pack pays three times more than a 3-clip one.
• Host a game night: a game night with friends on TryToAct means several multiplayer games in a row, so the hard quest gets done without you even thinking about it.
And if you also want to climb the TryToAct ranking, good news: playing regularly moves both forward at the same time.
